Dry Needling
Dry needling, also known as myofascial trigger point dry needling, is the use of very thin pins to release trigger points in muscles. When the needle penetrates the trigger point, it stimulates the muscle, increasing blood flow and releasing pain relieving endorphins. The needles are very fine and do not cause any damage to the muscle.
Dry needling is used alongside Physiotherapy and Massage treatment and is commonly used when the trigger points cannot be loosened with massage or heat. When a key trigger point is targetted, it usually has a lasting effect.
Sports Injury Management
Our Therapists are experts in the diagnosis and management of sporting injuries. Impact, overload, overuse of our body can cause injury, most of these types of injuries are sport related. Our therapists will help get your body back to performing full fitness with treatment and rehabilitation programs.
We can also help you to prepare for some of your upcoming events, getting your body healthy, strong and fit.
Post Surgical Rehabilitation
The Physiotherapist will liaise directly with your surgeon to ensure we are aware of your post-op restrictions. We use manual techniques to improve your pain and range of movement and an individualised home exercise program will be developed to get you back to full function.
Gym Rehabilitation Programs
Depending on your needs, the Physiotherapist can develop a gym program to complete at home or alternatively attend your local gym and create a program customised to your rehabilitation needs.
